Alright poopsmacks, it's time to lay it on ya.
WE'RE JOINING THE RANKS OF THE HOUSEPOOR!
I didn't want to spill the beans til I was certain of 3 major things: THE PRICE, THE BANK and THE INSPECTION (which was today!). There are still a bunch of loose ends to tie up, but the big stuff is aces (purely aesthetics on the inspection...i.e. - a cracked tile in the bathroom). But it's a new building and really solidly and safely constructed.
We haven't officially signed the dotted line on Closing Day - so, I don't want to jinx
stuff. SOOOOOOOOO - for now: it's a condo, we love it, it's in NDG.
If you know anyone interested in a 4.5 in NDG (Monkland Village) for $830 by Dec. 1st (possibly sooner), send them my way!

Congrats on the house news. I used to live in a condo (also in NDG) and let me tell you, it was the good life. Enjoy the moment!
Sure, Milky can help JB, Lene and the Tinks move, but not N@, Corn, Flea and Chachi. What up with that?

P.S. Sh*t disturber? Qui? Moi?
Congrats! Welcome to the club.
Pls pick up you Home Depot/Reno Depot club membership at the door as well as some kleenex to use to wipe the blood, sweat and tears.
Seriously, CONGRATS! It is great to have your own place to do with as you choose.
Keep smilin!
Congrats and after they take all your blood between notary fees, inspection fees, and everything else and you are about to breath a *sigh* of relief thats when those dreaded welcome tax pour in.
Now tell Corn to get his arse to Reno Depot and pick up a ladder cause he is definately going to need on. For some reason there is always a need for a ladder.
Will they let you out of
the sanitarium on weekends?
- What?
Oh...'condominium'.
I get them confused.
Congratulations!
N@ Congratulation! ! !
The Following is a breakdown of the joys of owning property
Welcome Tax: This is a one time fee you shell out for acceptance from your municipality…like paying for popularity
Property Tax: Even though you own the land…the municipal government owns you…the property tax is just a yearly reminder of this.
School Tax: In costs a lot of $$$ to close schools…
Income Tax Canada: You’re a hard working “We’ll take 30%”…no no THANK - YOU!
Income Tax Quebec: Us to…Us to…We’ don’t think you work so hard, but we’ll take…umm..40% "Aey somebody got to pay for falling overpass and pothole maintenance…”
From: Municipal Government
To: Residents
Dear common citizen
It came to our attention recently that our efforts to bleed you financially dry has not been as effective as we’d hoped. Recent analysis of has shown that we can in fact squeeze you tighter…thus we’re Very happy to announce an increase on your property tax. Please understand that in order to maintain the services available to you we had only two options…raise your taxes or have our public servants take pay cuts to our over inflated salaries. Now you really didn’t think we were ever going take pay cuts did you? If you did, then must be knew here…did you pay your welcome Tax?
Hey pet-loving people. I took my wee kitty to get spayed this morning, and the vet called to tell me she has a heart murmur :( So my poor wee kitten is undergoing her spaying surgery now. When she's finished, the vet will sit down with me and talk about her little heart. Anyone else got a kitty with a bum heart? Need some good vibes! When I find out more, I'll post something on my blog...which seriously needs updating, anyway!
Oh, and Nat, congrats on the condo!
Sherri!
From what I understand, heart murmurs are more common than you would think and really has no bearing on the longevity of a pet...so, she will be just ducky, I'm sure! (I say this because I was @ the vet w/ a friend and her dog. The vet noticed a heart murmur in the pooch and said it really wasn't a huge concern). Hugs to your l'il gal.

Thanks Nat -- feeling a bit better about it now. Still waiting for the vet to call, though!
And the best news is ..........there is a extra bedroom for Mommy !! ..not that I minded the inflatable bed in the computer room ..but gee whiz a real bed in a real bedroom in real Montreal .. we're movin' on up ..
Congrats on the condo!
I've backtracked a bit on your blgo too and nothing scares the bejeezus out of me more than thinking about puppy seizures. I hope I never have to witness one.
Little Flea is in my prayers.
