Starting Fresh

Yup. A new look for the New Year. Took me a lot of googling, copying, pasting and no small amount of cussin' to finally get that brick background up. But I did it! No cement under my Lee Press-Ons, even.

Like they do every year, the holidays sped by (for an encapsulated pictorial of my Christmas vaykay, check out Ma Horton's site). Tomorrow -I'm back to work. Corn is off til the 7th. Can't remember when I've had this much time off in a row. And I wear it well. I wear it like 3 day old jogging pants and no deodorant. I'm relaxed, rested, slightly pudgy. It's as it should be. In fact, I might just keep this look goin' into the workweek. Gotta love radio.

What'd you do for New Year's? We hummed and hawed forever over having a 'thing'. Cuz we didn't want to make a production outta the night. And I didn't want to leave the house. I wanted to stay in my jammies and have someone rotate me hourly to prevent bedsores (and all the neighbourhood kids gather round to watch the pustules burst at midnight!). But that was a little too housebound-like. So - the happy medium was 1.) showering then 2.) having a few peeps over. 3, to be exact.

And we Wii-ed! In between wees. And the ocassional wheeze. We had fun.

As far as Corn and I go, I can see that thing becoming seriously addictive. Corn has already logged 11 hours of one of the video games, in 3 days. What I REALLY would love to get though is Wii Fit - which incorporates an actual workout. In the meantime, I'm cool with swinging an imaginary tennis racquet in the living room. You bettah watch out, lamp. I'm gonna knock yo' shade right offa yo face!

Yay it finally worked! You are so lucky to have gotten your hands on a Wii I couldn't find one for Christmas... It sounds like so much fun...

My condolences to J51.

We have also Wiied all day since Christmas. With many different friends. Yesterday afternoon however I boxed against my tenant. Can you imagine being able to beat the crapola out of your tenant and not get arrested?? Awesome!

Oh and the kids love it too. 2 controllers have already had the batteries replaced... in just 1 week.

We've been Wii'ing since the End of November... and it ONLY gets MORE addictive. All we played for til Christmas day was Wii Sports! (I'm a bowling pro now! lol)

For Christmas we each bough a few games... AMF Bowling which is Craptacular (without the tacular), another Golf game (yet untried) Lego Star Wars (yet untried) and Loony Toons ACME Arsenal, Puppy Luv (which HE thinks will sublimate my need and desire to have a RealDog! ... as if! It's cute but it don't keep your lap warm) and ...

drumroll please....

Zelda: Twilight Princess. HO-LEE KRAPOLA is this game addictive. We've been playing more than I am sure is healthy.. He's clocked 21 hours so far and I'm just over the 24 hour mark... and the freaky thing is, we've only gotten about 1/10th of the way through.

On purpose we'll hauling our asses outside today, even in the cold weather, cause otherwise we might never go out again!

And we so want Wii Fitness. We'd not have known about it if it were not for Dawn telling us about it at your B'day ho-down... We don't care WHAT it costs...Wii, er I mean WE will have it!

We lurv our Wii...
Happy Wii-crack-playing!
and Happy New Year.

Hey Kitty... any idea how I can get the ball to stop curving while bowling with the Wii? Mine seems to curve all the time.

Oh, look.
It's becoming a Wii Help Group in here.

;-)

Maria, the ball will naturally curve when thrown... one direction for Right Handed players the opposite for Left Handed... You can twist your wrist just before letting go of the ball (in the opposite direction to that which you tend to curve) And I higly recomment you use the Training exercises and the Fitness options to practise
