It's the little things.
Like getting cozy in your jammies while the cold wind blows outside.
Ordering your favourite take-out.
Stocking up on junk food and movies.
And hangin' out on a Saturday night in the living room with your favourite people- flesh and fur.
We rented "Employee of the Month" - surprisingly good rental! Love the Dane Cook and the Andy Dick. And - "The Devil Wears Prada" -and that was another good rental too! Meryl Streep is the best beeyatch ever.
People. Screw it, that's all I gots for now.

Sounds like a great time!!!
Keep smilin!
I was trainer at a Major Bantam all-star hockey game on Saturday. Our team had 20 players from several teams. The dressing room was eerily quiet, so we tried to break the ice by asking all the players to introduce themselves and tell us their favorite movie. About three quarters of them said they don't have a favorite movie. WTF?
As the game progressed, the boys started warming up to each other, being more relaxed and talking to each other on the bench and in the dressing room between periods.
Now remember, these boys are all 14, with a few having turned 15 since New Year's. I heard two of them on the bench, talking about the movie question, and one said "What if someone had said Brokeback Mountain?"
Ba-doom-boom. It's 7:54. News, weather and sports after a quick break, and Culture Club!
For mindless fun, check out Talladega Nights, if you haven't seen it yet. Great Will Farrell moments, great S.B. Cohen moments ("Ricky Booby"), great John C. Reilly moments! For example, at the dinner table:
Ricky Bobby: Dear Lord baby Jesus, or as our brothers in the south call you, 'hay-zoos', we thank you so much for this bountiful harvest of Dominos, KFC, and the always delicious Taco Bell. I just want to take time to say thank you for my family. My two beautiful, handsome striking sons, Walker, and Texas Ranger, or 'TR' as we call him. And, of course, my red hot smokin' wife Carley, who is a stone-cold fox.
(best friend) Cal Naughton, Jr.: mmm...
Ricky Bobby: Dear tiny infant Jesus...
(wife) Carley Bobby: Hey... you know sweetie, Jesus did grow up. You don't always have to call him 'baby'. It's a bit odd and off- puttin' to pray to a baby.
Ricky Bobby: Well, look - I like the 'Christmas Jesus' best, and I'm sayin' grace. When you say grace, you can say it to grown-up Jesus, or teenage Jesus, or bearded Jesus, or whoever you want.
Cal Naughton, Jr.: I like to think of Jesus as a mischievous badger.
...Just one of many goofy, funny scenes.
However, if you don't like Will Farrell's view of the world, don't go to this movie.
Actually, I saw Talladega Nights on the hockey bus en route to Québec City the weekend before last. "Zee Fransh invented democracy, existentialism and zee b*** j**".
Now, the coach chose the movies for this trip, because one of the moms complained about the movies on the Sudbury trip: Anchorman, American Pie Band Camp, and a couple of others.
The same mom with the stick up her butt was on the bus this time. I was sitting with the coach, and three minutes into Talladega Nights, I was asking him the difference, and telling him we were toast.
Actually, she kept her fat mouth shut this time. Earlier, one of the boys asked me about complaints from the Sudbury trip. I just confirmed there had been some -- he probably knew the source, and it wasn't HIS mom. He very wisely pointed out that everyone had already seen all the movies, and had seen and heard a lot worse.
And, JB, as for my opinion of Will Ferrell, I can honestly say that I wouldn't go to a theatre to see one of his movies, or even rent it. Just not my cup of tea, even though I will admit that Anchorman and Talladega Nights do both have their hilarious moments.
I just love Dane Cook. less Jessica Simpson. And Devil Wears Prada was awesome. Movie night with junk food and your favorite people (flesh and fur) is one of my favorite things to do. I am also a movie addict. I watch everything. (excluding horror)anyways, I love that you have this Blog. I just got the internet, I know your thinking "where has she been" . I would have gotten it sooner had I known about this. I look forward to checking it out often. Thanks for taking the time.
