Ensconced.

I'm doing drive this week (3-7) and gotta say - what a great shift! Hey - no complaints with middays - but drive has so much fun stuff goin' on! I diggit. I can sleep in (though, I haven't been because my body AND the dogs are tuned to early wake-ups). But it's keepin' me on my toes. And I like that cuz it makes me look taller.

Have you guys experienced the pure bliss of flannel sheets? We've got a set, and all I have to say is...why didn't you people TELL me about this before?!! My sleeping comfort has jockeyed to a whole other level. I am now at the upper echelon of zee's. Corn loves 'em too. Every morning I have to de-swaddle him from the flannelly goodness.

The best part is - it keeps my feets warm. Which under every other bedding material circumstance, are blocks of ice. And then I am OBLIGED to place them upon the heat-generating surface of Corn's body. And believe me, he notices.

Any shift with N@t is a good one!

I love my sheets. Cotton Sateen. Like fuzzy comfy ice. If I could I would marry my sheets...or at least have an illicit affair with them.

That is why the man is there...to serve as the continuous generating source heat upon which we defrost our frozen extremeties upon.

BTW, I totally saw Corn's doppelganger. He is a border crossing guard at Lacolle. Seriously...thought Corn had changed jobs!

Keep smilin!

YA KNOWS YER GETTIN' OLD WHEN...

-The highlight of your week is getting flannel sheets.

Discuss.

By the by, I gotta rub yer mugs in this: It's 9:20pm Nov. 30, and I was just sittin' outside in shorts and a T-shirt, drinkin' Corona and revelling in how great it is to be in Dubai. What sucks is that I have to go home tomorrow night.

What sucks is that it isn't me .

Flannel... thou art divine!

The flannel hits our bed by the beginning of November and is there til at least April (with the necessary weekly washings of course!) We actually have 2 sets of flannel... one with polar bears and the other with... yea you guessed it... LEOPARD PRINT!

I'm also a huge fan of flannel shirts, flannel pajamas, flannel night shirts, flannel lounge pants and flannel boxers.

Flannel... it's not just for beds anymore.

Blue w/ snowflakes. No hats though. But the bears are skating, sledding and ice-fishing. Y'know..like they do in the wild.
