1975

It was the year I was born. And the year the JC Penny Catalogue was heatin' up the neighbourhood.

Bow-chick-a-bow-wow!

I'm at the same time repulsed and aroused.

Okay, Kitty, maybe not repulsed, but aren't you ALWAYS aroused?

In 1975, I was in Grades 11 and 12, and wore a lot of those same clothes, except for the gawdawful underwear and the pimp hat.

Have I ever told you about falling off my platform shoes? If not, let me know, and I'll fill you in.

Well the booze helps! :-)

The best part about the hat os that they had to label it "Hat"

As for the underwaer... At first I thought they were 'onesies' and I was terribly afraid...

...the only question that remains is WHY does N@ even have these pages?

OH and NGB ... DO share about the platform shoes incident...

Those are some sexy polyester underwear.

The pimp hat kills it!

Keep smilin!

AW and NGB already said it. I'm pretty sure that's the J.C. Pimpy catalogue you got there.

The best part about the ad's are the prices.

That must be a deal ...I see I missed the word 'know' in my previous post ..must learn to lay off the joy juice mid afternoony.

I never even looked at the prices! Now that's funny!
Also - Mr. Kitty - I thought it was a 'onesie' too! HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Check out how high-waisted that shiz is. And what's with dude in the middle and his tied shirt all Daisy Duke-like? Love it. Love it.

Oh I dunno I think the powder blue high waisted pants on the right with the wide flap thing are tres chic!

I wanna see more!

Something I noticed (when I went looking for the prices) was how they printed the "mailing weight" for all the items. I think I wanna incorporate that somehow into my everyday speech.
"Hey! You're lookin' good! Have you been workin' out? What's your mailing weight?"

I just realized (yes, I am that slow) that I am older than N@. I remember the days when I listened to radio and the deejays where much older than me.

Must.go.lie.down...am.depressed.

I think the best part is that they tout the underwear as not only 'fashionable' (HA!) but COMFORTABLE...surely they jest!

(a joke about the difficulty of actually conceiving in 1975 while men were wearing these types of underwear and pants could be made, but then someone would add a joke about how they probably weren't wearing them while they were conceiving..badabump)..

N@ Lauzon said...

Further to that - if men were conceiving whilst wearing these types of garments, it suggests that women were attracted enough to them in these outfits - to bow-chicka bow bow with them!!!

And that is eew.

...and just what were the women wearing in 1975, eh?
