Hey everyone! I just want to let you know that we haven't stopped the fight against puppy mills in this province. If you haven't done so yet, please send along the letter we've provided below to your local representative.
I want to tell you about a woman named Nicole Joncas who has been rescuing animals for many years...including dogs from puppy mills. She's seen over and over again, the cruelty that exists out there - and like a lot of us, she's finally fed up with the inaction of our government.
You've heard of David and Goliath? This one woman has taken it upon herself to bring a lawsuit against the powers that be in our provincial government, who are not enforcing animal welfare laws. Read more about it here.
Personally, I think it's amazing.
Needless to say, when you have such a large task ahead - it requires financial backing. Nicole and her lawyer are approaching various organizations for help, but it's a tough job. Especially since so many animal welfare organizations are charity-based themselves.
The good news is, you can help. And no amount is too small. Let's show Nicole we're on her side. Imagine being part of a movement that finally kicks the government into action! It has to start somewhere and why not right here, today?

Well said, Nat. Very important to bring attention to something like this. Only when everyone is made aware of it, can something really be done.
