Bicycle Bum

First day back on my bike today.

I knew I had to get her back in action for today, since there is a transit strike and frankly, I'd rather not wait around til rush hour (they are providing 'essential services' - i.e. morning and afternoon rush hour service). I have been on the bus at the worst of times (and I'm sorry, but I CANNOT handle loudmouth tweenyboppers between the ages of oh, 14 and 17. And it always seems I end up on the bus sitting WITH them. KILL ME NOOOW!). The bus is a very sweaty, hot, smelly, crammed-in place to be during rush hour. It chews big dirty pull-ups.

Anyhoo..as long as the weather holds out, so will I! Except: I don't do rain. Or hills. Or carry my bike up stairs. So, as long as the stars align that way, I'll be aces. We're lucky too because our place is RIGHT ON the bikepath. Tres convenient. Though, the STATE of the pavement on the bikepath is another issue...but I digress.

Anyhoo - painful bicycle butt is going to kick in, in a couple hours. That oughta be fun for the ride home.

Ain't it a bitch!

The transit strike AND Bicycle Butt...

I already had my B-B a few weeks ago... glad it's over. If you don't have, you really need to get one of those Silicone Gel Seat covers for your bike. Trust me it makes ALL the difference! I can go from the Old Port to the Levesque Arboretum at the end of the Lachine Canal Bike path, and back again with my seat cover... (Without it, I can get to the Atwater Market and back... )

As for the strike, I hope this one does not go on for too long, cause I am stuck with the essential services... there's no way I'm biking from the Village to Ville St Laurent and back each day...

omg, anonymous. That is INSANE.

But to be quite honest, I think it's pretty lame. Too contrived, not funny and his smiley face creeps me out. I wanted it to be funny, but it wasn't. Oh well.

Good on him though, for usin' the youtube to try and make a name for himself.

Okay, N@, if it's so lame (and I ain't even seen it yet), that must mean it's time for more dating tips from Corn -- or any other offering that you Corn Dawgs can come up with.

I'd give ya a lift N@ BUTTTTTTTTT I am still on vacation and NOT back at work yet!! Moahhhhhhhhhhhh

Hope you and YOUR butt survive the transit strike.

har har har!
Actually - I am able to get a lift to work, but I PREFER to bike! (what's that all about?). Especially since once I finish work, I'd have to wait 2 hours for the metro to be back in service.

My bicycle butt KILLED this morning. I think I rode all the way to work, standing up.

Then a moron in a SUIT, talking on his cellphone on HIS bike, cut me off.

Hiya N@!

In this new world of eco-everything, it's very easy for all of us to complain about traffic and pollution, complain about greenhouse gasses, and it's so easy for us to say that more people should leave their cars at home and take the bus, but...you hit the nail on the head. The bus can be a smelly, uncomfortable thing to use. Gets me thinking that even if public transit were free it still wouldn't be enuf to entice people to leave their cars at home. Time for us all to move downtown so we can walk to work!

Kneesox.

PS: Good luck with the arse.

#1: I am not evil, just weird... sometimes!

#2: You can get a lift to work and you prefer to bike? Your weird too!
I wanna see ya bike when the 30 degree, hot & humid weather kicks in. You will be begging for an auto with A/C!!

#3:I know nothing about gel bike seats so, no comment.

Finally... sorry to hear about you being cut off by a moron in a suit... just proves that doesn't matter what your driving... when your a MORON, your a MORON!

What What, how's yer butt? Ha ha. My favourite things about the What What video: gratuitous use of parentheses; rose petals; and that cheesy bloody blimp at the beginning. Looks like it was made in 1983....by the same people who went on to make the "Total Eclipse of the Heart" video.
