Flea seems to be doing okay on the meds. No crazy side effects. Though one of them is supposed to be lethargy. Considering my rats sleep 21 hours a day already - it's hard to say. Though last night, she was more hyper than I've ever seen her - about 15 minutes after I gave her the dose. She was going CRAZY. Running around, spinning, jumping - like I have never seen her. And when I picked her up, she relaxed and half-closed her eyes like she was crashing or something. WEEEE-IRD. Hopefully things balance out soon. It's about to be 15 mins since I drugged her up tonight, so we'll see....

Oh, Chachi turned 2 yesterday and I didn't acknowledge it. But he did by eating his own crap and possibly Flea's. I am not sure if this qualifies as a 'birthday dinner' but y'know, as long as he's happy.

Went for a bite and a chat with my friend David Acer after work today. He said he was going to spam my blog with information about his upcoming New Year's show. Which you should go to by the way - and not just because I said so. But because I can't handle David Acer spam. Please, save me! And get all the deets here: www.davidacer.com. (Seriously, should be an awesome night!)

Uh, what else. I love Swiss Cheese crackers. They remind me of being a kid, lying on the floor with my giant pillow in front of the TV watching Family Ties.

We still have no blinds. We have old tacked-up curtains playing the role of blinds. We will take a trip to Home Depot tomorrow- where we will hopefully get blinds AND a Christmas tree! Yes, fake. Dogs plus pine needles = festive poo, but the novelty wears off quick. Oh...got our Welcome Tax today too. Corn and I were like - what the hell is this TICKET for? It's all in French - what did we do? I don't get it..why is it so much money?

Then we figured it out. Then we held one another and wept tenderly.

Milky - your falling-on-ice story makes me MAD. Why are people such dumbarses? It is just common sense to ask a guy if he needs help! And also...I would like to add a snide remark about "Milk on the rocks"..but I'll leave it to Ma Horton.

Flea, now, half hour post-medication. Seems to be aces. Though, she's REALLY trying hard to get under my housecoat to roll up into a dogball and have a snooze. She produces a lot of body heat for 4 lbs of mammal. All that methane.

I'm with you and Milky on the ignorant dumbarses who ignored the poor guy, when he fell on his noggin.
I did spot him in the building and heard him on the air today, so I'm glad to report that he's not the victim of a serious brain injury, although it was serious enough that it caused him to post the same message twice.
And as I pointed out to him in an email today, a concussion is a bruising and swelling of the brain, so he has medical proof that he does, indeed, have a brain. How many of us can say that?

One more thing: N@, are you sure that's Flea trying to get up under your housecoat, and not Corn???

Nattie Pattie (I don't know why, I just like makin' up names), when you go to Home Depot, they have very cool paper blinds starting at about 7 bucks for the 36 inch-wide ones that look pretty darn good (considering they're less than 10 bucks) when they're up and can be used for a long time if you're careful re-folding them once they're up. They just stick up with adhesive which is easy to remove and doesn't hurt anything when you do. I've tested them. We've had them on our front windows in the new place and they're great. It just keeps you from having to make a rushed decision on new blinds/curtains for a while if you need more time to look. If you already know what you want, this message will self-destruct...well, actually it won't, but you can ignore it. Just put it right out of your mind. Forget I said anything. I'll just go stand over there, and...

Good stuff about the meds!

Those paper thingy blinds SUCK! They ripped within minutes of putting them up. But the idea is good!

Keep smilin!

I love the Swiss Cheese crackers too! They're the total shizznit.

Also, on a more serious note - did you ever think that Chachi's poo eating might have been a response to his birthday not being openly recognized by you? Maybe your ignoring of the day cut like a knife to the little chi-hua-hua's heart and he was all like "Screw you, I'm gonna eat my poo!"

I'm not Anonymous - I'm Angry Gnome, by the way - your comments page is wonky and won't let me post as AG.

Sorry about your luck with the paper blinds, D&D. I've had 'em up since Sunday with no problems. They look okay, and are surprisingly sturdy. Maybe you shouldn't have been swingin' on them like that...

Did Chachi look at you with a sh**-eatin' grin when you caught him chowing down on his poop sangweech?

Okay, I'm sorry. I'll just over there and stand with JB... move over, Dood, incoming Newsguy.
