Eat Me.

Lotsa Halloween candy out there right now. When I was kid, I remember my parents grossing out at my lack of scruples when it came to candy. All of it was good. None of it sucked. I couldn't understand why they'd make a blech face over a packet of Big League Chew. All of it was desirable because it was colourful and sweet and tart and chocolatey and sugary and CANDY.

Now, just the word candy makes my teeth hurt. It sounds cheap and mass-produced and like it would definitely stain my tongue a primary colour. I will however, say this:

I AM IN LOVE WITH PEANUT M & M's!

Not the regular kind, not the peanut butter kind, not the almonds. The peanuts baby! And they taste better if they are in the yellow bag. Not the promotional Star Wars packages, or whatever they are. Those suck.

The only way they could possibly improve upon them is if they were DARK chocolate, peanut M&Ms (in the yellow bag). I can't believe they haven't hopped on that bandwagon yet! It's coming though, I just know it!!

p.s. I will get out more.

p.p.s. OHMYGOD! Look what I just found!!

OMG, you and my mom would get along great. At Christmas, I get her Laura Secord chocolates and they have to be all dark.

N@,
I love love love peanut M & M's!! They're amazing and oh so addictive! Have you ever had mint M & M's? I remember I used to get em from Pharmaprix around Christmas time but I never find em anymore! That makes me sad...

Droste dark chocolate pastilles. In the red tube. Chocolately crack. Now that I type that, it sounds really gross. I meant like crack the drug, not the crack in your...I'm making this worse, aren't I? :)

Actually, around the time star wars came out, they had teh dark chocolate m&ms. I would only find them at blockbuster for some reason, but everytime i'd rent a dvd i'd stock up. Also, they have them in the 'states but you already found that out :o)

Peanut M&M’s rock! They took 2 of nature’s perfect foods to create the best snack. But to combine dark chocolate (one of my fav’s) with peanuts…are we ready for this?

MINT M & M's? Never knew they even existed! Holy mother of Sugar Highs, I can't wait to try the dark chocolate ones.

Actually, I am a HUGE fan of dark chocolate...and IMHO, these are the best brands: RITTER and COTE D'OR. The latter is fun because the package is nice - and the bar looks THICK like a Willy Wonka chocolate bar (in fact, it is 2 stacked on top of one another).

As we speak, there is an empty package of peanut M & M's on my coffee table @ home. Couldn't help myself after I posted the other day. Heh!!

Okay...
Go to San Francisco.
Visit Ghirardelli's chocolate factory. Have a cup of hot chocolate. It'll change your life.

Speaking of chocolate, I went to Deninger's on the weekend and bought a Ghirardelli's *new* Intense Dark Toffee Interlude™ (dark chocolate combined with crunchy toffee and caramelized almonds) bar. "The luxuriously deep and velvety chocolate delivers a moment of unrivaled chocolate intensity", is how they describe it, and they're right.

...I also bought a Ritter Sport Dark Chocolate bar with hazelnuts, and a small bag of Jack Daniel's-filled chocolates.

It was a good chocolate day.

Apparently great minds think alike because I just posted a Cadbury versus Hershey debate over on my blog.
P.S It is my personal opinion that the plain M&Ms are the best.

The brown M&Ms are better than the coloured M&Ms.
Dark chocolate is the best! For a killer hot chocolate (ie. liquid chocolaty goodness you can pass out on) you can go to Suite88 (i think that's the number) on st-denis (near roy or marianne..that part ) or Juliette et Chocolat's choice of killer white or milkchoco or darkchoco milkshakes (also on St-Denis but between Maisonneuve and Ontario on east side of street..this one i know!).
I am a chocoholic, and i have a non used blog that might have been erased by now that was called chocoholictwiggy.blogspot.ca so trust me when i say that i cannot live one day without having at least one tiny square from a 70%++ chocolate "tablette".
ALSO really good are the Dolfin flavoured chocolate that are offered in dark or milk chocolate (i like the pink pepper one and the earl grey one..but there's a bunch of different ones).

ps: for the torontites: the only great real hotchocolate i've found is Soma chocolate in the distillery district (with the spicy mayan mix..miam). Anybody know of another place to get this kind of liquid chocolate other than spain? ummm..chocolate con churros...)

aah...mouth is watering...
