Well, half a million of our tax dollars went into designing this little gem. And even if I didn't hate it (which I do) - I still don't get the slogan. I mean I really, REALLY don't get it. I honestly can't even begin to guess what they meant! Make WHAT real? Youppie? Do we want to turn him into a real boy? Make WHAT real for crying out loud?!!!!
Now, I have an uncontrollable urge to eat lifesavers.

So is there a Great or Greatest Montreal ? Half a million dollars ? Now that is real .
I was thinking the same thing when I saw it in the paper...
1/2 a million bucks for that? Can I get a job there? My kid could have made something better for a box of KD and we could have put the CASH to good use on something like healthcare, education or even improving the darn infrastructure... yeah, yeah I know I am just being a dreamer.
***Sigh
It's ok, a bit boring but they explained the concept a bit on the news... the colours are not important and can be changed, with images as well… it’s simply important that there are 5 segments.. for: Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, North Shore, South Shore.
Of course, I’m not sure it’s worth half a mil, but it’s got promise, and compared to the logo for the 2012 Olympics in London, I LOVE our new logo.
Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, South Shore and North Shore? Why those 5 in particular? I know I've been away from Montreal a while, but isn't Longueiaeioul part of the South Shore? Does Greater Montreal now have 5 official Burrows like New York? What did I miss?
Why not just stick with the toilet seat with the H in the middle?
KJ that's cause they are the five regions of the 'greater montreal, metropolitain community' . Longueuil Is on the southshore but likes to think they are special...
Gives me the sudden desire to break out in a Partidge Family song. "I think I hate this...the colours are oh so retro...makes me really want to retch-o....and almost glad to live in Toronto"...
Seems Aislin don't like it much either...
