Dancing Dawg

One of the cutest things Flea does, is dance: an expression of her greatest joy which usually involves food. She does this every morning before breakfast. Every night before dinner. Every time she gets a treat. Every time she sees the leash. Everytime if I ask her - "Flea? Do you like...(insert ANY WORD here)" - she's so gullible!). Chachi (or, "Wedgie" as you will hear in this video) spins too, but not as fast or enthusiastically. He will literally turn around in a tiny tiny circle when he is pleased. But he does it while walking, so as not to taint his macho image.

By the way, this is Flea's "bone-eating mat". Only good food-related things happen on this mat and thus, it is one of Flea's favourite spots. Near the end of the video you'll see her roll on her back. It's also what she does when she's so excited, she's not sure WHAT to do. It's like she's saying..YES, YES, WHATEVER YOU WANT, I'M IN AND I LOVE IT!!!

Actually, the other day, she was tearing a strip off the carpet - running full tilt down the hallway of our building toward me (sometimes I let her run out there because she has 'grips' on the carpet instead of slip-sliding all over our hardwood floors). Dogs love to run! And a carpeted hallway is perfect for a chihuahua! Anyway - she was running toward me, all speedy, ears back, full smile on her face and when she got to me she barely braked before she flipped belly up in an expression of glee. I laughed.
