Back Home.

Hey all....back from vacation, to some tragic news. One of my best friends in the world lost her dad early this week, very unexpectedly. I am trying to make it home to Timmins for the funeral. I feel like a bit of a chump now posting the following information - but it did cross my mind, so -

I have 2 tickets to see Crowded House this Sunday, August 12th @ Theatre St. Denis. As you are well aware, they are my favourite band and I'd hate to see these tickets go un-used. This will be a great show. And you will, naturally, be forced to give me every single sordid detail. If you want to go, I'd rather sell them at cost (since Corn was kind enough to buy them for me) and reimburse him for $115, but I suppose I'll settle for best offer. Seats are: Parterre P, Seats 1 and 3.

Post here w/ your e-mail or send me an e-mail privately: nat.lauzon@themix.com. I am only in town tomorrow (Sat).

Thanks. And send some prayers along to Timmytown.

Oh N@... (we gotta talk about your replacement on the RAY-D-OHMYGOD!) glad you're home, sorry to hear of your friends loss...

I can really feel for your friend right now considering my Dad's own health. I'm headed to Notre Dame tomorrow to say a prayer for my Dad (HE is religious, I am not... I'm all about spirituality, but not in an organized religion sorta way, but this I can easily do for him) I'll say a prayer for your friends father while I'm there as well.

Hugs all around.

Glad you're back N@, sorry about the bad news. This is one of those times when you feel like you're a million miles from "Home", right?

All the best to you, Corn and the pooches.

N@:
I've now seen your friend's dad's obit on the Daily Press website, and realize he is the person who died at Northern College this week.
I know his wife. She used to work in my doctor's office in Timmins.

Again, thinking about you, and being someone who has lost a parent and who has supported friends through the loss of their parents, I know you share your friend's pain and grief.

Sorry that you had to make your way home to such sad news. Sorry also that you won't get to see your favourite band this time around, but to give up the chance to see them just shows your true character, and what matters most to you in the long run.
