How come my terrycloth headband and kneesocks don't attract the chicks? I mean, heck, those socks look especially good in my sandals!

Corn: Help me out here, brother. What am I doing wrong?

Nat if you enjoy David Sedaris, you should really check out Augustin Burroughs. Fantastic, humour-laden memoirs of a perfectly horrific and painful life. "Running With Scissors" is his first book of this nature. (It's actually coming to theatres this fall.) One of my favourite authors (and I love David Sedaris as well but not as much as Augustin Burroughs).

John (Shannon)

PS your top five things you want to do before you die could easily be mine as well. Weird!!!!! I can drive standard, garden, sing and bake though. ;)

You know, if you bother going down under to Oz, don't skip Kiwiland...NZ is awesome. I went the summer of '04 (from where i still checked the infernal journal once in a while to see a slice of Mtl) and the reason of my trip was Australia, but went to New Zealand for 2 weeks, you know, 'because I was there', and then didn't want to leave. And don't forget: australia is really, really big, and about 90% of it's western half is pure desert. The world's biggest cattle ranch is in Oz: it's the size of Texas. (fact of fiction? dunno)
